Crafty Old Man

Wow time has flown by getting ready for Christmas and not done nearly as much as I wanted to but never mind the important things are done 😉

So we had a flurry of snow last week which was fun especially as Bianca (Labrador Puppy) hadn’t seen snow before!  Have to say don’t think she was impressed good job we don’t get it that often lol

Anyway I chose the snow day to actually get round to doing something which I had never done before!!  I can’t believe I have never done one but I finally am glad to say have popped my cherry and produced (drum roll)…

A gingerbread house lol  I know before you start shouting at me yes it was made from a kit! I never made the gingerbread myself but think I am going to give it a go because I loved doing it 🙂  Shame I ran out of icing needs more snow and icicles if you ask me.

Whilst unpacking my decorations I also came across the stocking I had started and not finished so sat down one evening and bid a bit more on it.  I know it won’t be ready for this year but will keep plodding on and it will get there soon I am sure lol Who am I kidding I have so many WIP could be at it for years lol

Anyway it’s looking like this at the moment and over half way so keep going …

I know I will probably get two comments so will answer them now lol…

1, No I don’t use a hoop I just cannot get on with them even tried a standing frame and I just prefer to hold the Aida in my hands!

2, No I don’t mark of the chart with a pen or pencil I just look at the pattern and transfer it straight over with the thread again it’s a personal preference but when I did mark off the pattern a long time a go, I found it harder to read.

And one final pic for today have to share this one of my little Bianca in all her glory lol  This is her Yawning whilst trying to wake me up so I get out of bed lol love her!!!
