Crafty Old Man

So today I am pleased to say we held the 1st craft afternoon which we hope to make a monthly gathering 🤞🤞🤞

It was just myself and @hev77 (say hi on Instagram🤓) at her house in Gloucester as a trial to see how much we can get done in an afternoon.

So today we decided we were both going to attempt the same craft so both got the DMC printed embroidery kit called Busy Bees 🐝 from the On The Wing range. (Check out the snacks 🤤)

This is the kit all ready to start, and we were off!

So we both decided to start with the main bee on the pattern first and here’s a couple of progress shots taken of mine…

We got more than I thought done for just a couple of hours, the gossiping and sharing how we both do embroidery stitches etc, here’s a pic I took to show a couple of the stitches used along with satin stitch…

In the pic above you can see Couching Stitch, Fly Stitch and Split Stitch.

Had such an enjoyable afternoon and can’t wait till the next one!!!

Still a little to do but shouldn’t take too long 😝

Next time we are thinking about trying felting next time 🤔🤓😬
