Crafty Old Man

So I mentioned last time that I got the Song Bird kit from DMC’s On The Wing series.

Well I am pleased to say it’s done and framed up on the wall with the bee one I have already finished 👍🐦🐝 🖼

I just need to get the other two in the set now 🤔🤔🤔

Talking of purchases I have to say I got a bargain on eBay by chance whilst surfing sites one evening 💻 what was I supposed to do when you stumble across 22 craft books for a measly £20.00 😳🤔🧐 Buy it quick!!!! 🤪

So much to read now and so many ideas 🥰🥰🥰

The most noteworthy thing to add is that this afternoon was the 2nd craft afternoon to be held and I am happy to report an increase of 50% in attendance 👍👍👍. Ok so 50% of the last time is just one more person but hey it’s a start lol 😝

So along with myself and @hev77 was the lovely @mella_oldham who we had the pleasure of showing how to do cross stitch 🧵

The table was well stocked with snacks and that’s before the scones with strawberries, jam and cream came out 😇

I did some of my ivy embroidery I started ages ago for a while…

But then I just couldn’t resist because I had purchased myself a beginners felting kit and just had to have a go at something new 😳🥴😇 this is the kit I bought…

So anyway I wanted to start out with something I thought I might be able to do in the time left remaining of the craft afternoon so kept it simple…

Yep made myself a tiny mushroom 🍄🥰 not bad for my first ever attempt and thanks to @hev77 for the tips as she has done felting before 👍🥰. That’s what I love about the craft afternoon with other likeminded people everyone is happy to share their knowledge and hints and tips to help you 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I took another pic of the mushroom 🍄 in my hand to show you the size 🖐

I am really pleased with it for my first attempt and have a feeling it will be the first of many as I really enjoyed doing it and want to try more now! Watch out Pinterest here I come 😝😇😝
