Crafty Old Man

It’s been a manic month here the last month, I have been away with work quite a bit, but it has its perks in that I can craft in my hotel room in the evening to while away the hours 🧵✂️🧶🤓 It’s also nice when you happen to be away with a work colleague who crafts 🥰 @helly_louise_

Also when we were in Norwich we happened to stumble across Hobby craft not quite sure how that happened 😇 It was fate we ended up in there because as I mentioned in my last post I have completed two of the DMC On The Wing series. Well what would happen to be in the clearance section but the other two to complete the set 😳👍🖼

And of course as soon as got home it was straight out to buy two more frames so they all match 👍 Just need to get on with them now!

My other travel kit I take out with me apart from crochet is my cross stitch travel kit 🧵✂️

I have started prepping for Christmas 🎄 by starting DMC’s Tomte Tree House kit so this has come with me the last couple of trips away.

So this weekend just gone we held the 3rd Crafternoon and happy to report our numbers went up yet again thanks to @deedeehastings for coming and bringing along her Tim Holtz paper craft machine and letting me have ago at making a rosette 🏵

We also all had a go at pyrography and have to say I love it and will be doing more 🥰

So impressed by all and we had such fun and think you will agree for first attempts we have all done really well 👍🤓👍

We also did some cross stitch and also taught @mella_oldham how to make pom poms for a garland she is planning to make.

A bit shout out to @hev77 for making the chocolate and raspberry cake it was amazing nom nom nom 😋

I am sure most are watching Kirstie’s Celebrity Craft Masters on channel 4 at 5 o’clock weekdays 😉 well I have fallen in love with a quote said by Piyush Suri one of the judges when he said “your defects become effects” this just rings so true to crafters and I now want to do it in pyrography on something possibly a box for craft items🤔🤔🤔🤔
