Crafty Old Man

So now we are in October thought it was time to try out my needle felting pumpkin kit I got from The Makerss from their stand at The Handmade Festival.

I normally put up the pictures in the order I do them but this time here is the final picture first, because I am really pleased with the end result 🥰🎃

So I guess the pics of progress should come next. Here is the kit ready to start and then I started by making the base shape.

Once the general shape was right I added on a base colour first. Then added flecks of colour to add interest and texture…

The seams of the pumpkin in green really gave the shape of the gourd!

And after adding the stalk and a few embellishments it was hard to put the needle down and could of kept on tinkering with it forever but just decided to walk away and stop before I went too far 🤔

Have to say I absolutely loved doing this and best thing is only used half the kit so can make some smaller ones to go with this one 🥰 The kits I used as already said was one by The Makerss you can check out their website at http://www.themakerss.co.uk or if in Gloucestershire make sure you pop and see them at their shop in Nailsworth! Which I must do as want some more kits 😇

Have to do a shout out to @hev77 for my new flamingo felting pad given for my birthday, thank you so much it’s amazing much easier to use than the foam I was using 👍

Quick mention to my favourite purchase made this week from Wilko of a Raven which now has pride of place on my bookcase …

So the other thing got up to this weekend is Hobbycraft are doing workshops with Christmas getting closer so myself, @hev77 and @deedeehastings went along to create Christmas baubles and here are the three which I made 🎄 🎅 🎄

Finally I am trying to get some of my WIP’s completed to clear the decks a bit so fingers crossed you might see some of the older projects mentioned before reappearing 🤞
