Time for another update of what I’ve been up to craft wise lots of WIP’s and why am I thinking of starting more???🤪
Well that’s simple because I have so many amazing designs kitted up just waiting for me that I just can’t help myself 😇
So I did also have some finishes since last we spoke 🥳. Finally I have completed the DMC set titled On The Wing and even managed to get round to framing them and putting them up in the craft room.
On the sewing front I made a set of bunting just to add that bit of a happy vibe in strange times and think it came out really nice being double sided so look different from different sides of the garden. Either flowers on one side and polka dots on the other. Haven’t got pic of them outside but did take some when made to see how they looked and really happy with the outcome.
I continued to make masks for family and friends and thought as the sewing machine was being used so much it needed a little make over so whipped out the Cricut Maker and labelled it up 🤓
Whilst sorting out the craft room one day I came across what has to be the oldest WIP I will ever own I worked out that this was started 28 years ago 😳🤯
And of course everyone needs cheering up because this year it’s been a right shit!! So I might have treated myself to a new overlocker so I could edge all my fabrics to stop fraying when I’m stitching and also with making clothes.
The other make with the overlocker is my first shirt which I have to say turned out a lot better than I thought it was going too!
My other purchase was some Aida from Claire Brown Xstitch which I just couldn’t resist! Claire also had a sample sale last Sunday so more turning up soon 😉😍
I can’t wait to do a Halloween design on the blood splatter one I’m just procrastinating over which one at the moment lol 😆
Cross stitch wise I have a few WIP’s on the go at the moment the first one was also a new start during lockdown of the Long Dog Samplers Pandemic pattern which they gave away free for a week and I was lucky enough to get the pattern during this time! It’s a big bugger and going to take a long long time but it’s amazing 🥰 I have only done two pages (of I think it’s about 26) at the moment but loving it already when it’s finished it will be epic!
I am still plodding along with Tomte Tree House from Jerry Roupe and the blue is still a hard slog and so much more to do 🤦♂️
Another start over the lockdown is the Dimensions design Victorian Charm which hasn’t got as much progress as I would like but I will get there it’s such an amazing design which I can’t wait to complete and get framed up!
I also have the second of the Harry Potter series from Country Magic Stitch titled Welcome to Hogwarts School. Having completed the Hogesmeade one once this is complete just the Hogwarts Express to go.
I do have another DMC kit started but only done a few stitches so not worth showing perhaps will have more done on it next time? Mind you I expect will have more new starts to show because I can’t help myself lol
One last thing to show which isn’t mine but my amazing hubby has discovered the joy of the Cricut Maker and a heat press and started to make his own T-shirt’s with designs from Design Space and here is just one of them which he needs a medal for all that weeding 🥰😍🥰
Well that’s it for my ramblings till next time I best go and get on with and turn some of these WIP’s into finishes 😊
