Crafty Old Man

First post and no idea were to start so let the rambling begin!!

So the idea behind here is to record my progress with crafts and stuff going on in my life, so can look back and see progress and reminders of mistakes I expect 🙂

So I decided just over a year and a half ago to try my hand at crochet and armed with a hook and a couple of balls of yarn it was over to YouTube to tach myself a new skill.

I watched through a few different videos on how to crochet and what could be made once I had mastered certain skills.

I started off making Granny Squares and turned them into a throw for the back of the sofa I had. I was living on a narrow boat called Noprobs at the time.

Anyway I’m sure I will write about my life on the canals another time.

So after the throw I decided to try my hand at Amigurumi so back to Youtube I went and found a step by step video and after a couple of hours and some back stepping and repeating parts I finally ended up with Monroe…

Have to say I was quite happy with the way he turned out 🙂  And a friends Mum commented on how much she liked him so made another in red and white for her as a Christmas Present (wish I had taken a pic of it)

Have other photos of bits I have made so will update some more until up to date with projects working on at the moment.
