Crafty Old Man

I’m back 🤓

It’s been a while but getting my crojo (craft mojo) back after a dry spell as with many other got a bit obsessed with Hinching! If you are not sure what it is check out @mrshinchhome on Instagram but beware it gets addictive and the stocks of Zoflora you will hoard becomes bordering on obsessive lol 😝

The flat is a lot cleaner and smells amazing but suddenly as a crafter you realise to craft you need a little mayhem and chaos before you produce something you love 💕

So I have started trying out embroidery for the first time making a design of my own which I’m pretty pleased with as a beginner 🧵 but will let you be judge as not sure doing it right but enjoying the experience…

Anyway it’s a long way from finished as just base colours done so details to add but you get the general idea and will update as I go see how it turns out😬🧵✂️

I have also gone and booked VIP ticket for The Handmade Festival with Kirstie Allsop in London on 14th of September 🎉 can’t wait as part of the VIP ticket get 2 talks included and also a workshop. So chose felting so can branch out and try something else new 🤓

I have been helping out my parents as the are moving soon to a smaller property so big sort out in order. My Mum found her engagement and wedding cards so I have the. At the moment to put them all into a scrapbook for them to keep the safe 🥰. I have the scrapbook and some extras but yet to start so when I do I will pop up some pictures let you see how it’s going along 🤞🤞🤞😉 might have found my old childhood friend whilst clearing out the attic 🥰😍🥰🐶

After a trip to Hobbycraft I also found a couple of other projects to keep me busy and out of trouble and best thing is in the half price sale 🎉🎉🎉 I have one embroidery and one Xmas cross stitch seeing as I finished the cross stitch stocking last year (check out previous post)

The most exciting one about to start is a SAL (Stitch A Long) with friend and crafter @hev77 on instagram check her out! Well check out Ludo her dog he is so cute 🐶🥰

Anyway we have the Emma Congdon tattoo design from Cross Stitcher Summer 2017 which we both love so decided to do it at the same time. Ordered the Aida and threads from Sewandsew.co.uk as have an offer on DMC threads at the moment👍. Mine have arrived and fingers crossed Heathers will be soon so we can get going whoop whoop 🙌

Right enough chalking and time to do so off to get my crojo on and finish the messenger bag I am knitting so can start all the WIP’s I now have so excited 🤓✂️🧵🧶
